Distinguished Alumni of Random Math

Random Math is very proud of its notable and distinguished alumni, who have accomplished amazing things not only in high school, but also in college and beyond. We have watched our students grow and excel in everything they do, and many return to our program as TAs and coaches.

Our Alumni

Aarush Vailaya
Aarush is a freshman pursuing math and computer science research at MIT. He participated in Random Math from 2023-2024 in the Tesla G2 class and winter program.
Tanush Aggarwal
Tanush studied at Random Math for 6 years, and was a teaching assistant for accelerator class and other summer camps. He is now a freshman studying computer science at Carnegie Mellon University.
Alan Lu
Alan is a freshman studying computer science and mathematics and hoping to do CS research at Harvey Mudd College. He studied at Random Math for 5 years.
Kaka Zhang
Kaka studied at Random Math for 2 years, and is currently a freshman at Stanford University pursuing mathematics and computer science.
Lynn Dai
Lynn is a sophomore at Yale on the pre-med track. She has been part of Random Math since her eighth-grade year, and she now works as a Senior Publicist. 
Sam Natarajan
Sam is a sophomore at MIT, studying math. She first took classes at Random Math in 2017, and now works as a Teaching Assistant and helps with the website.
Anika Mehrotra
Anika is a sophomore at Princeton University as a prospective math major. She has been part of Random Math since the start of high school, and  now works as a Teaching Assistant.
Ishaan Desai
Ishaan is a sophomore at the University of Chicago, double-majoring in math and physics. He has studied at Random Math since 2020, and is currently a Teaching Assistant for some of the summer camp classes.
Neel Kolhe
Neel is a sophomore at UC Berkeley studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as a Regents Scholar. He started at Random Math in 2016 and started as a TA in 2022.
Advaith Avadhanam
Advaith is a sophomore at MIT, studying math and computer science. He has been a student at Random Math since 2019 and was a captain of our competitive teams in 2023-2024.
Prahit Yaugand
Prahit is a sophomore at UIUC studying computer science with a focus on machine learning and systems programming. He started at RandomMath in 2016.
Isaac Lee
Isaac is a sophomore at Stanford University studying aeronautics and astronautics. He studied at RandomMath for 5 years.
Nilay Mishra
Nilay is a junior at MIT, studying math and computer science. He's been part of Random Math since the very beginning, and currently is an Assistant Coach.
Amol Rama
Amol is a junior at Rose-Hulman, studying computer science. He's been part of Random Math since the very beginning, and currently is an Assistant Coach.
Nikhil Mudumbi
Nikhil is a junior at Colombia University, studying math and computer science. He began at Random Math in 2020, and  is now an Assistant Coach.
Janelle Cai
Janelle is a junior at MIT, studying math and computer science. She began at Random Math in 2019, and now teaches as an Assistant Coach.
Sean O
Sean is a junior at UC Davis as a math major. He has been a student at Random Math since 4th grade, and has helped the program in many ways as a Teaching Assistant and TA Lead.
Riya Gupta
Riya is a junior at UCLA, majoring in Computer Science as a Regents Scholar. She taught at Random Math during high school, ranging from AMC 8 to early AIME preparation classes.
Sohum Phadke
Sohum is a junior at UC Berkeley, double majoring in Bioengineering and Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS).
Stuti Agarwal
Stuti is a junior at MIT studying Computer Engineering. She started at Random Math in 2015 and has been a teacher for AMC 8 and AMC 10 classes.
Pranav Joshi
Pranav is a junior at UCLA studying Computer Science. He started at RandomMath in 2019.
Ashvin Loghashankar
Ashvin is a senior at UCLA, studying computer science. He joined Random Math in 2017, started as a Teaching Assistant soon after, and is currently an Assistant Coach.
Shreya Majumdar
Shreya is a senior at Cornell University studying math and CS. After years spent studying at Random Math, she returned as a Teaching Assistant and now teaches as an Assistant Coach.
Simrit Dhanjal
Simrit graduated Carnegie Mellon University in May 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, and is now a member of technical staff at Resolve AI.
