"I am currently a sophomore at Columbia University, studying Math and Computer Science. I love mathematics, having a long history with math competitions, but I also fell in love with computer science through the USA Computing Olympiad. I particularly enjoy Theoretical Computer Science, and would like to pursue something related to this after my undergrad, either in industry or graduate studies.
I qualified for the USA Math Olympiad once, and I’ve also gotten 14th and 19th place in various HMMT February subject rounds. Finally, I qualified for the USA Physics Olympiad twice and earned a Silver Medal, and reached the Gold Division in the USA Computing Olympiad.
I began studying at Random Math in my sophomore year, in 2020, and I studied up until 2022. Random Math was very helpful in providing me access to lots of problems to practice my skills with — the topics themselves can be learnt from any source, but the main factor for success in math competitions is repeated practice, and Random Math’s long and comprehensive problem sets, in all topics and difficulties, was very helpful.
I worked at Random Math as a Teaching Assistant over the summer of 2023, and now I am an Assistant Coach. I currently teach the Vieta Class for Geometry."
