"I am currently a sophomore at UC Davis as a math major. I love to learn math, and through middle and high school, I had many opportunities to learn and teach, through which I was able to enjoy math and problem solving. I’m excited for opportunities to continue being involved in mathematics through my undergraduate studies and onwards.
I’ve qualified for AIME 5 times, and my highest score is 9.
I joined Random Math very early on, in fourth grade, and stayed as a student all the way through the end of high school. Random Math was very important to cultivating my love for math. Since the time I joined, I was continually exposed to new topics and pushed to learn. Practice was very important, and I spent lots of time in the summer and during the school year, but as much as it was intense, it was enjoyable. I had great teachers and peers who helped me work hard but also stay motivated, and through that community, I was able to grow in my love for learning and confidence in working through challenges.
When I attended Random Math summer camp as a student, we played a lot of Catan during our lunch break, and it’s been my favorite board game ever since.
I’ve worked as a Teaching Assistant at Random Math since 2019 and was the TA Lead in 2022-2023. I have taught various levels in the Accelerator as well as RMXplore programs. I also help in the summer camps and will be working again this summer."
