"I just graduated from Los Altos High School and will be attending Princeton University as a prospective math major. I have had a strong interest in math since I was younger—it was always seen as something fun and associated with games in my house (thanks dad!) instead of the usual frustration most kids associate with math early on. As a result, I’ve had a lot of fun exploring math and can’t wait to continue through college and beyond.

I’ve competed in the AMC tournaments since my sophomore year in high school and qualified for AIME once. I also competed in HMMT once.

I’ve been studying at Random Math since the summer before my freshman year of high school. Random Math introduced me to a new perspective on competitive math—rather than being about who knows the most math, it’s really about who can identify the trick necessary for the problem the fastest. This realization helped me hone my skills greatly as well as learn where to focus my studies to broaden and deepen my knowledge of math.

I love playing math related games including the “license plate game”: using the four numbers on a California license plate, race with the others in the car to make 24 using those numbers and the four basic operators.

I began teaching at the summer camps during summer 2023. During this past school year, I ran the accelerator discussions for levels C2 and D1 as well. I’m excited to continue teaching at the summer camps this summer!"
